Airline manager
The Airline manager allows carriers to add and change general information.
In the Airline manager you can maintain all information published by a carrier. The information is grouped by:
- Carrier, basic carrier information.
- Contacts, lists all your contact information by person or division.
- Conditions, the general conditions.
- Charges, all additional fees for a shipment.
- Warehouse, lists the warehouses used by the carrier by station.
- Product, a complete overview of product information, terms and conditions.
- Surcharges, a list with active surcharges. The carrier is able to add new fuel and security surcharges.
- Client grouping

The main contact information for the carrier is visible at the first tab page in the Cargo Office information panel.
In the Carrier page you can also change the update message. The update message is displayed if a forwarder receives new or updated rates.
Please remember this is a public message visible to all forwarders agents, don't mention the publication of new contract rates
To modify contact information select a person in the
Contact list. Press the
Save changes button to save the modifications. Press the
Save as new contact button to save the currently selected person as a new contact.
The contact information has the following information fields:
- Contact person or general name contact information.
- Name department or division.
- Job function.
- Telephone and fax number.
- Mobile number.
- Email.
- Address information if different from the general address information.
Use the editor in Cargo Office to modify your general conditions. The editor has rich text editing functionality to deliver a clear and easy to read document to your customer.
Except for fuel and security surcharges, the additional fees for a shipment are maintained in the Charges panel.
A fee has a predefined type (e.g. DGR or CAO), a value and a description with additional information.
Select a fee in the selection list. Confirm your changes with the Save changes button. Press the Save as new fee button to save the currently selected fee as a new fee.
Select a warehouse in the value select list and press Add as new warehouse to add a new warehouse. All address and contact information is maintained by Cargoguide.
Add your products portfolio to Cargo Office and link the information to your air freight rates. For each product you can enter a product name and select a product class like Express or Dangerous goods. In the text editor you can add addition information and special contions concerning your products.
Newly added surcharges substitute previous surcharges with the same properties. An existing surcharge with the same Airport, Country and Area code will be replaced with the new surcharge starting from the entered Effective from date.
To add a default surcharges leave the Airport, Country and Area code 'ZZZ'. The 'ZZZ' code represents a none specified location; to add a surcharge only valid in the US leave the Airport code 'ZZZ' and change the Country code to 'US'.
Cargo Office always adds surcharges to the existing surcharge set. In case a mistake has occured you can remove a surcharge. You need to remove the surcharge the same day as first added to the set. Press the Delete last surcharge button to remove the last added surcharge.
Cargo Office allows carriers to define groups with forwarders. In the rate manager you can besides standard and promotional rates publish contractual rates. The contract rate is linked to a individual client or to a group with forwarders. Forwarders can distinguish the rate from standard rates by the special contract icon

in front of each row.
In the group page you start with adding customer groups. Each group has a group code and description.
Select a group and add new members by selecting clients in the
Available clients list. Click the
Move client into group button to add the selected clients to your group.
