Surcharges

Surcharges are an important part in the discussion taking and selecting a tariff. Within Cargo Office the two most important surcharges fuel and security are included in the tariff definition.

Surcharges

Cargo office allows carriers to publish surcharges such as fuel, security, DGR, CCA etc. The surcharges are divided in 2 groups, named Fuel and Security. These fuel and security surcharges are part of the rate information and are recognizable by the gray background. These groups are immediately visible after the Pricing result column. The surcharge information is presented in the following surcharge columns:

  • the minimum surcharge fee,
  • a fee per kilogram,
  • the weight definition.

After providing shipment information, Cargo Office has already taken into account the surcharges for its best price calculation. Future fuel surcharge changes are also immediately visible in the rate row.

All in tariffs

Cargo Office offers carriers the option to add custom surcharges to the rates. This also allows the carriers to publish All-in rates. If an All-in rate is published the Minimum column displays a text string with “All-in”.
