Installation
Instructions and information are automatically presented as you install Cargo Office. Here are some suggestions that will help you with the installation.
You must activate your Cargo Office product to verify that your installation was done with a genuine Cargo Office license.
Important information concerning Cargo Office installations in combination with the Microsoft Vista operating system. Stricter permission settings in Vista prohibit Cargo Office from writing to database files,
.NET Framework 2.0 is required to install Cargo Office. You will be notified if the installation wizard fails to find a correct version of .NET Framework. If this is the case, the installation process will be terminated. Go to the Microsoft website to install the latest version.
The Cargo Office CD is setup so that you can install Cargo Office Automatically.
- Insert the cargo Office CD in your CD-ROM drive, if the autorun doesn't start automatically start the installation wizard with setup.exe.
If you’re downloading the software, click the Download button to begin the download. The installer file appears in a Save As dialog box.
Click Save. Be sure to note where the file is going to be saved. Double-click the setup.exe or CargoOfficeInstaller.msi file.
- The Welcome screen appears, as shown below.
- Click Next.
The License Agreement appears.
- Read the License Agreement in its entirety and then click I agree if you want to continue with the installation.
- Click Next.
Choose the destination directory or accept the default.
- Click Next.
The Confirm Installation screen appears.
- Click Next.
- The installation process begins. The installation process takes just a few minutes from the CD.
The first time you start the application, you will be prompted to enter your
Activation Key.
To activate your version of Cargo Office, you will need an Internet connection. Please ensure that your firewall allows Cargo Office to connect to the Cargo Office web services.
Enter your
Activation Key in the text boxes and confirm with Activate. Cargo Office will connect to the license server and validate your
Activation Key. If your key is approved, you will be redirected to the login screen.
Copy the Activation Key from your confirmation email and paste it in the first activation text box by pressing CTRL-V.
After a successful activation the login screen appears, fill in your provided user name and password. Confirm your authentication with the Login button. The application will start downloading a new database file and synchronizes the data.
After the synchronization is completed Cargo Office is ready to use.
