Properties

The Properties window shows a selected rate in a vertical grid. Every row represents a column in the grid view. The rows are grouped by category, similar to the bands in the grid view.

Properties

Changes made in the Properties window will apply to all rows in your selection. In addition to the grid view, you can use the Properties window to change the rate classification and ULD information.

Changing multiple lines at once

You can edit multiple rows by selecting these rows using the Properties window. If a column contains the same value for each record in your selection, the value is shown in the property window. In all other cases the cell value will be empty. Change a value in the Properties window, confirm your change with ENTER or select another cell. The changed value will immediately be applied to all selected rows.

Rate classification

Cargo Office categorizes the rates over several classes to simplify the selection of rates. For user managed rates Cargo Office shows flag icons, differences in color allows the forwarder to specify the custom rates even further. You can change the rate classification in the Properties window.

Description

By default the user classifications are called "User managed rate". To change the description click the Edit rate description button. You can change the description in the Classification window. Confirm your changes with Save.

Custom surcharges

Custom surcharges

Cargo Office automatically connects your custom rates to the surcharges published by the carrier. However, in some cases the published surcharges can be inappropriate. This is the case when:
  • The rate is an import rate and is different from the surcharge published in your region.
  • The rate is an "All in" tariff.
In the Properties panel there is the option to add a custom surcharge. Check Apply surcharge to enable your custom surcharges. Fill in the values and save your changes. If you enable the custom surcharge and leave the values zero, the rate is indicated as an "All in" tariff.
