From the 2.0.7.0 version of Cargo Office the SQLite database is used for local data storage. The data synchronization has been changed in the latest version. To increase reliability of the data files, full updates and data maintenance have been implemented. The performance speed in saving data to the local database has significantly increased to the point where full updates take not more than a couple of minutes. In addition, you can now switch between local data load or connect directly to the Cargo Office web server.

Changed functionality

The new synchronization options have resulted in new functionality.

A full tab page dedicated to the new database options for maintenance and full data updates can be found in the Cargo Office Configuration Window.

You will find an additional Online Rates button next to the About button in the main window. Press the Online rates button to load the rate information directly from the Cargo Office web server. The advantages of using the Online rates option are the increased performance in slow local networks and 100% reliable and accurate rate information.
My Selection is now capable of remembering the selected rates. Deleted rates and rates with expired effective dates are displayed in gray text color.
Cargo Office allows carriers to add custom surcharges to the rates and to publish All-in rates. If an All-in rate is published, the Minimum column displays a text string with “All-in”.

You can access the Cargo Office configuration window is opened from the application button menu. Click the application button in the left corner of the application. In the application menu select Configuration to open the Configuration window.

In Cargo Office, air freight rates are displayed according to the eRate sheet definitions. All eRate definition fields are available and supplemented with user information and columns like surcharges, rate type and schedule information.
