Cargo Office 2.0.7.x

From the previous version Cargo Office uses the SQLite databases for local data storage. In the latest version the data synchronization has changed. Full updates and data maintenance are implemented to increase reliability of the data files. The performance speed in saving data to the local database has increased dramatically that full updates take not more than a couple of minutes. In addition users can switch between local data load or connect directly to the Cargo Office web server.

Changed functionality

Most new functionality results from the new synchronization options.

In the Cargo Office Configuration Window a full tab page is dedicated to the new database options for maintenance and Full data updates.
In the main window you find an addition button Online rates next to the About button. Press the Online rates button to load the rate information directly from the Cargo Office web server. The advantage using the Online rates option is the performance increase slow local networks and 100% reliability in the accuracy of the rate information.
My Selection has now the capability to remember the selected rates. If a rate is deleted or the effective to date is expired the rate is displayed with a gray text color.
Cargo Office offers carriers the option to add custom surcharges different from the standard surcharge to the rates. This allows the carriers to publish All-in rates. If an All-in rate is published the Minimum surcharge column displays a text string with “All-in”.
Change the rate values to any foreign exchange rate with the new currency options in Cargo Office.
The number of rate classification for user managed rates is increased to eight flag icons.
Cargo Office introduces the user license manager to allow Administrator to control more effective their Cargo Office licenses.

Cargo Office 2.0.6.x

The main navigation in Cargo Office is repositioned to the top of the application. The main navigation has become an integral part of the general menu; every tab represents a separate module within Cargo Office. The side panel function is reduced to showing the Favorites/History and store “My Selection”.
In the side panel you can press the Close panel button to hide the panel. Show the panel by clicking the open/close side panel button next to the round application button at the top.
The Sales margins button is changed to a button with select and dropdown functionality. The Sales margins button is split in two parts:

The icon part opens the margin setting window.
While the dropdown part opens a margin dropdown window with your predefined margins or apply a quick margin. The quick margin is a fixed value for every column.

The bottom information Panel in the rate overview is restyled and simplified. If the user double-clicks the Information title bar the panel collapses or expands.

New functionality

Based on our client feedback new features are developed or functionality has changed. The main changes are the Margin selection, loading speed airfreight rates, history rates and import custom excel sheets.
